Role of Geoservices in Smart City infrastructure, potential of open approaches.
Workshop was co-organized by China-Finland ICT Alliance/TIVIT, Matti Hämäläinen as the Organizer & Co-Chair, and Aalto as local host. Academician Deren Li, China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering, is a recognized expert and advisor in China’s GIS, positioning system (GPS & Beidou) and Smart City research and development. Prof. Hu, Director of the National Engineering Research Centre of Multimedia Software (NERC-MS) has been working on city management and safety solutions. Both are based at Wuhan, which is China’s key center in this field.
Co-operation has been established with Wuhan U, the National Key Lab and companies (e.g. GeoStar) in geoservices representing leading expertise in China. In addition to participants, other relevant matching Finnish and EU partners to be identified.
